Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann confirmed today as reported by jalopnik that the rumors which were spread across net since last few months is in fact true. In 2 weeks the limited-edition sports car will be officially confirmed at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The rumored price for the car was not confirmed but it will be more then $1 million and if rumors are true then a whooping $1.5 million.
How many people could afford this expensive car which will fall between LP640 and a jet fighter? Well, not many but Lamborghini would get into limelight with the unveiling of this super car within 2 weeks at Frankfurt Auto Show.

Toyota 10 million sales goal dream

Toyota’s dream to become number one automaker of the world and reach a sales figure of 10 million cars would highly depend on its reachability to Asian markets.
Toyota is planning to increase its sales everywhere it operates and penetrate into new and emerging economies. Company is aiming to increase its sales in Asian markets by 60% in next three years. Japan’s demestic market for cars is sluggish and a fear of possible slowdown in American economy could dampen some of the companies ambitious plans.
Toyota wants to reach the sales figure of 10.4 million cars in 2009 but its penetration in India, Brazil, Russia and especially Chinease market will be deciding factor. Toyota reaches 52 production bases in 25 countries.
The turnaround for Toyota happened in 1997 with the launch of Toyota Prius Hybrid car. Since 2002, Toyota’s sales have amplified by 600,000 to 700,000 units each year.
Toyota intends to increase Chinese sales advertising for its conventional sedans, such as Camry and Corolla, and to further increase local assembly.
In Brazil, Toyota plans to augment sales of Corolla models that sprint on bio-ethanol fuel. In Russia, local production of Camry models will start late this year and sales networks will be reinforced.
In up-and-coming markets like India and Brazil, Toyota plans to pace up expansion and local manufacture of economical models seen as being the key to success.
In China, which possibly will become a key battleground for global automakers, many companies have entered and fight has been intensifying.
In India, Toyota lags behind some makers, including domestic player Suzuki Motor Corp. It is doubtful whether as latecomers, Toyota yield can be accepted in the country.

2009 Acura NSX

Acura Sports Car Concept at Detroit auto show in January was initially thought as next generation Acura NSX. Well, it was not true as now we know that 2009 Acura NSX is going to be heavily modified S2000 sheet metal with an extended wheelbase and wider track. Honda is trying to restyle its supercar. The exterior for earlier/present Acura NSX is not quite famous with Sports Car lovers due to which Honda has planned to redesign the car completely.
The car will have new and improved V10 engine which will generate more then 550 horsepower which will make it the most powerful car in Japan. The primary achievement for Honda engineers are that they are able to achieve a great fuel efficiency for its V10 engine where its closes down five cylinders as per on the circumstances.
2009 Acura NSX’s will have new and revised version of SH-AWD four-wheel-drive technology which was first spotted on Acura RL. NSX will also employ six-speed automated manual transmission with rear drive.
The supercar is expected to have 200 mph speed and would run at 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds. The expected price is going to be near $150,000 which could post danger for its popularity. 2009 Acura NSX for sure would give a tough competition to Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Ferrari but does Acura have the brand for the fight is the big question.
