Scratch Removing Car Polish
Posted by admin on June 7, 2008 - (10)
All car owners want their dream cars to be brand new and in superb condition over the years. Unknowingly scratches occur on our dream vehicle, which ends up to high expenses in removing them. The deeper the scratch the more cost it includes.
The process of scratch removal starts after a through car wash, and then allowed to be full dry. The spray paint received from the dealer is shake for two three minutes at one go and then spraying a little amount of it into the cap. Direct spraying of the spray should not be done on the scratch, as it won’t look good. Then paint is applied over the scratch carefully using a wooden toothpick. The one end of the toothpick is dipped into the paint without letting the paint to pour down, if we want to cover the scratch only, because if the paint pours down it should be wiped off immediately with a clean tissue to give it a better look.
Minor scratches can also be removed. Firstly a polishing compound is used to polish the scratches. Such compounds containing mild abrasive helps removing the scratches, removing very thin coat of paint special care should be taken care of while choosing this kind of product because only few grades of such polishes are available that contains the finest abrasive needed for the above mentioned scratch treatment. The second step to be followed is to put a small amount of polishing compound onto a damp sponge, then buff the affected area in circular motion until scratch disappears. There is no need of any further repetition.
To remove a defect in paint e.g. a scratch we must first of all remove all of the paint that surrounds the scratch until the surface becomes level leaving a minor scratch.
A workable paint finish makes repair scratch blemishes easy. By workable we mean that small particles of paint can be easily removed using a particular type of abrading process. Hard paint are so hard that when it is abraded to remove the scratch we usually end up creating number of smaller scratches while only marginally removing the original scratch that exists, paint cleaners, polishes buttered in rich, lubricating oil film helps restoring the originality of the car paint.
The below surface defects namely (i) Batter Swirls (ii) Cobweb Effect (iii) Isolated deep scratches instilled during the wet-sanding process (iv) Acid & Alkaline rain and water spots that have etched into the finish (v) Industrial pollution and chemical fallout and lastly bird dropping.
Professionals and car enthusiasts use a rotary buffer to remove paint defects with the help of good polishes, the right buffering pad. Paint defects can be easily removed. Dirt and pollution, in air and water in the form of road spray on wet roads, accumulates of the pores of the car paint. The paint becomes stained and looks dirty with the continuous exposure, thereby hiding the true color and beauty of our vehicle. There all can definitely put an end to all such bad things that happen with our dream vehicle by the proper usage of branded polishes periodically.

How To Wax Your Car?
Posted by admin on March 3, 2008 - (0)
The wax used in a car wash forms a water resistant coating, is very much different from the wax that is applicable by hand. The prime difference is that car-wash wax is specially formulated to work on glass, chrome, rubber, painted plastic & metal surfaces of the car, leaving a clear, thin film. Car-wash wax does not provide the equal level of protection, nor does it help to remove or cover up tiny scratches as standard wax does. One of the 2 methods used to apply wax. The 1st type of wax uses a system of foam applicators, the common being a triple-form applicator to apply a foam wax. The second type used is liquid wax.
Most waxes and polishes promises to keep the car bright and sunshine. In order to get the best results from any car wax, it is first necessary to wash the car to remove the dirt and road grime. Then a small dime sized amount of wax is applied to a clean dry cloth or a wax applicator is used, not much wax is needed to give the car an outstanding shine. Then even layers of wax is applied using circular motion. The entire car can be waxed with specially formulated waxes.Lastly a separate micro fiber towel is used to shine the car.
After a complete car wash with a recommended car cleaner followed with a good car polish, the next is the wax job. The protectant wax or sealant is applied with appropriate applicator pad or plain micro fiber cloth section wise & allow the product to dry to a dull hazy finish. Buff the protectant off with a clean soft cloth. Excess wax is removed from rubber bumpers and trims as soon as possible. Religious choice now has to make to protect it and keep it shiny because now a clear difference between protectant car waxes & sealants is known to us. One should wax the car once in 3 to 4 months because the more often, the better is it, after proper washing. It is the wax that forms a protective coating protecting the car paint, thereby reducing the chances of damages, harm of Chemicals, protecting the paint from fading so that the car looks shiny forever. Almost half an hour is needed to wax an entire car and if a good quality of wax is used, then it remains on the car for 3 to 4 months at a stretch. It is true according to advertising propaganda nothing lasts forever. In order to maintain the protective shield any product needs to be reapplied periodically. To add lastly most waxes serve 3 primary purposes that help improve the shine and protecting the finish against all road grime.
There are number of car waxes that can be used namely Carnauba based paste waxes, synthetic liquid sealants, personal preference should be done. Both are equally effective and useful in providing full protection to our cars paint from natural odds when applied with appropriate car detailing equipment. The most important thing is to protect the cars paint that is left vulnerable to damage.
